The upcoming BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone, which was announced last month is the latest of RIM’s existing BlackBerry devices. This new device packs a 480×320, 65K color screen and an improved UI with an excellent display, improved icons and a much better Web browser. It is the first BlackBerry smartphone to support tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks and comes with integrated GPS and BlackBerry® Maps. It has Wi-Fi, as well as a rich set of multimedia capabilities. You can even use BlackBerry® Media Sync to transfer desktop iTunes® music files to your smartphone. It also includes 128 MB flash memory plus 1 GB on-board storage memory and a microSD/SDHC memory card slot. The Bold also features a 2.0-megapixel camera with video recording capability, built-in flash and 5x digital zoom. The media player displays pictures and slideshows, plays movies in full screen mode, and manages the music collection. And, with the BlackBerry Bold smartphone’s 624-MHz processor and HSDPA network, users can multitask and prioritize with access to voice and data services at the same time. This phone surely is a winner in our book. Available August 2008.
